Prior to joining Element of Change, Erika worked in a number of senior leadership roles for hospitals such as The New York Hospital, NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. While in those positions, Erika focused on developing teams focused on quality outcomes, efficient practices and service excellence. She has had the opportunity to develop successful innovative programs to support patient care.
Education and Training
Erika holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Miami, and a Master of Nursing Administration from Barry University. She received her Bachelors of Science in Health Care Management and Nursing from Stony Brook University.
Certifications
Erika is licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida and is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) from the ANCC. She obtained her Certified Professional Coach (CPC) certification from iPEC’s Coaching Program, as well as the certification of an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner to perform ELI-360 assessments. She completed certifications as a LEAN facilitator and in the GE Change Acceleration Process model at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
Business/Organizational Leadership Experience
